A recent study published in the Journal for Research in Applied Sciences and Biotechnology examined how government efficiency, transparency, and accountability in Afghanistan can enhance entrepreneurship. Researchers analyzed World Bank data and found that governments whose practices focus on improving efficiency, reducing corruption, and promoting transparency foster a more vibrant environment for start-up businesses. 

The study also emphasizes that when governments streamline operations and curb corruption, they create a more supportive atmosphere for entrepreneurship, leading to stronger economic growth and the development of new businesses. 

Afghanistan is considered to have one of the strongest freedom of information laws. The country’s commitment to transparency has been shown to improve government accountability, further encouraging business growth and entrepreneurial ventures. 

The findings highlight the broader impact of government efficiency and transparency, offering insights for other nations, like the United States, looking to strengthen their economies by supporting new businesses through better governance.
